How to find headers in Apple Mail
19 February 2024
Have you ever wondered how to find email headers in Apple Mail?
These technical-looking details unlock valuable information beyond the sender’s name and subject line. But, there’s no button or link that says “headers” in Mail. So, where do you find them? Don’t worry, it’s easier than you think!
Here’s what you do:
- Open the email: Click on the email you want to inspect.
- Click the “View” menu option: Look at the very top of your screen.
- Select “Message”
- Select “All headers”: This will have the headers display in the Mail interface
- Select “Raw source”: This will pull up the headers display in a text window.
I prefer using “Raw source” myself. I think things are formatted better and are easier to read, but you can use whichever one works best for you.
