Australian company fined $5.5m over spam emails

In what I think is a first, an Australian company has been fined AU$5.5m over spam emails. Earlier this year, Wayne Mansfield and his company, Clarity1 Pty Ltd, were found to have broken Australia’s Spam Act. We’ve been waiting to see what the penalty would be. Now we know. participate

Judge signs stupid order

Judge Charles Kocoras of the Northern District of Illinois (Eastern Division) has signed an Order that I’ve just pulled off of Pacer mandating that ICANN and Tucows “suspend or place a client hold on www.Spamhaus.org until such time as they receive a further order from this Court that such suspension or client hold be lifted.” [...]
